St Helier Methodist Church

St. Helier Methodist Church, referred to as Methodist Central Hall Carshalton in some records, dates back to 1931; and since then there has been a tradition of unbroken Methodist presence among communities in and around St. Helier. The Church Anniversary is celebrated on the second Sunday in June.

The original vision of the founding mothers and fathers has been one of participating in and contributing to the blossoming of St. Helier Methodist Church as a community church in St. Helier Estate. St. Helier has manifested this community focus in and through its life and witness over the years. The refurbishment of the Main Hall in the 2010s and the intended redevelopment of the entire premises (resolution of the Church Council and the General Church Meeting dated 8th March 2020) further bear testimony to the community thrust of St. Helier.

St. Helier is a friendly congregation of members and friends greeting and welcoming one another with pleasant smiles and gracious words, particularly, immediately after Sunday Worship.
